Scott Hug received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters in Communication Design from Pratt Institute. In New York, Hug’s work has been featured at John Connelly Presents, Deitch Projects, Elizabeth Dee, D’Amelio Terras, Feature, Inc., Greene Naftali Gallery, and The Kitchen; gallerie du jour agnès b. in Paris; and Hiromi Yoshii Gallery in Tokyo. His work has been reviewed in the New York Times and has appeared in the New Art Examiner and Zingmagazine. In 2003, he was awarded a Rema Hort Mann grant. Hug is an interdisciplinary artist currently working on a documentary film about Bern Porter and the Institute of Advanced Thinking.
